Inspired By The Salt Marshes At Wadden Sea
Oris and the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat renew their collaboration. This time with the Oris Dat Watt II, presenting a limited-edition version of the evergreen Aquis diver’s watch. The dial draws inspiration from the mesmerising salt marshes of the Wadden Sea. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest unbroken intertidal flats system. Sprawling over 11,500km2 across Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, its a stunningly beautiful place.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site
As a trilateral organisation dedicated to preservation and conservation, the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat works tirelessly to protect this unique ecosystem. Its also home to an astounding 10,000 species of flora and fauna.
The Oris Dat Watt Limited Edition II celebrates the Wadden Sea’s significance. With only 2009 pieces produced to mark the year it was honoured with World Heritage Site status. Inside, a Swiss Made automatic mechanical movement powers the watch, featuring a small seconds sub-dial positioned at 9 o’clock.

When a watch has a back story, it always adds to its interest. The Oris Dat Watt II is no exception, with the perfect colour combination of the green dial, white indices, slivered hands and grey bezel, this really is a striking piece. It comes complete with both a stainless bracelet, blue rubber strap and strap removal tool.
For years Oris have consistently bought to market some amazing watches. Personally, I have a Diver 65′ and it gets so much wrist time and without doubt this will too. This is now the second of the Oris Dat Watt series watches and i have every hope that it will be yet another success.
