IWC 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert
IWC Unveils Sand-Toned Ceramic Pilot’s Watch in 41mm
Quietly, without fanfare, IWC has expanded its 41mm ceramic pilot’s watch lineup with a new addition—this time in a soft, desert-toned hue. Following the sleek white "Lake Tahoe" release, the brand now introduces a 41mm "Mojave" edition that swaps snow for sand.
The warm, matte beige case offers a fresh take on the brand’s ceramic expertise. Achieving this particular colour requires a precise alchemy: zirconium oxide mixed with custom metallic oxides in ratios discovered only through meticulous experimentation. The raw blend is shaped into a “green body” before undergoing precision machining and high-temperature sintering, which strengthens the material and brings out its final tone.
Inside, the IWC calibre 32112 remains unchanged—an automatic movement delivering 120 hours of power reserve, complete with date, central seconds (with hacking), and 100 meters of water resistance. The sun-baked brown dial features luminous hands and markers, ensuring legibility at a glance, even in low light.
Retailing for £7,300.00, the same as its crisp white sibling, this latest Mojave model may just hit the sweet spot for enthusiasts who love earthy tones and daily wearability. Where the Lake Tahoe version delivers bold contrast and summertime flair, the Mojave walks a more grounded path—equally striking, but quietly confident.
For those drawn to muted tones and military inspiration, this sand-hued ceramic pilot’s watch could become the go-to in IWC’s growing 41mm arsenal.
I for one, was particularly drawn to the Lake Tahoe, but now this has come out, this has piqued my interest, just that much more. A more subtle tone and one, at some point I hope to add one my collection. Now let’s see whats down the side of that sofa…
