We know that there are way more than 40 shades of green out there. Searching for the right watch can be daunting for some, so we have decided to go green with this article. We’ve chosen our top 5 green watches this time, as our last one on our Top 5 Blue Watches was such a success.
Coloured watches evoke a sense of individuality and playfulness, allowing wearers to express their personal style and stand out from the crowd. We probably all have several black-dialled watches, and they can be a tad passé at times, so adding a splash of colour is definitely the way to go.
Green watches, in particular, offer a refreshing and versatile option. They can range from deep forest hues to vibrant lime tones, each bringing a unique flair to your wrist. Whether you’re looking for something subtle and sophisticated or bold and eye-catching, there’s a green watch out there to suit your taste.
In this article, we’ve curated a selection of the top 5 green watches that blend style, functionality, and quality. From sporty dive watches to elegant dress pieces, these watches are sure to make a statement. Let’s dive into our picks and explore what makes each of these green watches a standout choice for your collection.
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date X Cervo Volante
My first in my top 5 green watches, is the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date X is a standout model resulting from a long-term collaboration between Oris and the Swiss company Cervo Volante, forming part of their “Change for Better” campaign. Renowned for its natural deer leather accessories, Cervo Volante contributes a beautifully crafted leather strap made from sustainably sourced deer leather. This edition also features a green dial inspired by the Swiss Alps.
The 38mm satin-finished stainless steel case is equipped with a fixed coin-edged bezel and the familiar oversized crown typical of this series. A notable feature of this watch is the date display, which circles the edge of the dial. The central hand, ending in a crescent moon shape, points to the current date. The vintage-style Arabic numerals and cathedral-shaped hands are coated in Superluminova for enhanced readability. Additionally, the watch boasts an exhibition case back, revealing the signature red rotor of the automatic movement.

Seiko Prospex ‘Marine Green’ GMT
Next up from Seiko is the Prospex “Marine Green” GMT. This striking 42mm watch, although not subtle, boasts exceptional finishing. It offers impressive specifications, including 200m of water resistance, a screw-down crown, a three-day power reserve, and a ceramic bezel with a luminous pip at twelve. The standout feature is undoubtedly the GMT function.
The finishing quality rivals that of the Grand Seiko range. One of the highlights is the crown positioned at 4 o’clock, which enhances the ergonomic design. The subtly polished bezel edge contrasts beautifully with the lustrous green on the bezel and dial. As a tool watch, it excels in both design and wearability, featuring a well-crafted bracelet that would also pair perfectly with a green NATO or rubber strap.
Seiko is renowned for building great-value watches, and the sunburst dial of the Marine Green GMT is a visual delight. The hands and markers, including the second hand with its red dot and lume tip inspired by the 1968 Seiko dive watch, are crisp and bright, ensuring excellent legibility and a touch of vintage charm.

Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date
Our third choice is one we both chose. From Glashütte Original, the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, with its dégradé effect shimmering “Fab Green” dial. The ombré dial fades from the rich green in its centre to black at its outermost edges. With a throwback to the cases from the 70s, it features a 40mm x 40mm stainless steel rounded square design, this column-wheel chronograph has one of the clearest date windows I have seen in a while.
The stunning contrasting black indices and hands are filled with a stark white Super LumiNova, giving this a very crisp appeal. Offering an in-house movement with a 70-hour power reserve and 100m of water resistance. I do love a square watch and this new range from Glashütte Original is ticking all my boxes and floating my green boat. With a display case back, allowing you to wonder at the synonymous finishing Glashütte Original is known for. This sports chronograph is available with a choice of a bracelet, rubber or leather strap.

Breitling B09 Chronograph 40 Green
When Breitling dropped the new range of B09 models on us in late 2022, there was for many, one stand-out model. Breitling has produced some great watches, and this Premier Chronograph B09 40, is one of them. From the get-go, the sizing is bang on, with a 40mm x 46.7mm x 13mm polished case, this catches the light. But the highlight has to be that dial, a beautiful Pistachio green.
Polished and raised numerals adorn the matte green dial, adding a touch of elegance. The dial also features two subdials with concentric circles and three hands, with the chronograph hand ending in a lollipop counterweight for a distinctive finish.
This model provides the perfect modern/vintage blend without going over the top. The no date is a relief too and teamed with the brown alligator strap and polished folding clasp, this is a very elegant watch. The display case back shows off the in-house B09 manual wound movement at its best. This is one I’d love to own.

Moser Streamliner Sentre Seconds “Matrix Green”
My last addition to our top 5 green watches is the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Centre Seconds in Matrix Green. This standout piece elevates any collection. I had the pleasure of trying one last year (the Blue Perpetual Calendar) and instantly fell for this brand. The craftsmanship and exquisite finishing at this price point are truly exceptional.
The distinctive case design and mono-link bracelet of the Streamliner are undeniably admirable. The dial, adorned with the H. Moser & Cie. logo applied in clear lacquer, is subtly captivating. The Matrix Green fumé dial, with its sunburst pattern and applied indices, is further enhanced by Globolight inserts on the hands for improved clarity.
With a 40mm case size and a thickness of only 11.8mm, it strikes an ideal balance between elegance and performance. The display case back reveals the highly finished in-house movement and an 18kt gold counterweight. Offering 120m of water resistance and a 3-day power reserve, this watch is as beautiful inside as it is outside.

In Conclusion
Whatever your budget, there’s a green watch out there that will suit your style. Our top 5 green watches may not appeal to everyone, but there’s no denying their cool factor. Personally, I would love the Streamliner, even though it’s out of my price range. Despite its high cost, it’s my favourite piece.
However, the Glashütte Original holds a special place for me. With its ’70s aesthetic and TV case design, it perfectly matches my tastes. Any of these watches would be a fantastic addition to a collection. So adding one to my collection is definitely on my to-do list.
