Christopher Ward Unveils The Twelve 36mm – A Compellingly Compact Version of Their Iconic Sports Watch
Christopher Ward – The Twelve 36mm
Christopher Ward is breaking boundaries once again with the launch of The Twelve 36mm. A refined and smaller rendition of its immensely popular integrated sports watch. This compact marvel promises a tasteful synthesis of style and substance, amplifying the brand’s reputation for innovation and design prowess.
The Twelve 36mm is characterised by its sleek dodecagonal design, a mark of distinction in the realm of luxury sports watches. Available in four captivating hues – Nordic Blue and Glacier Blue, both recognisable from the larger 40mm variant, and introducing Alta White and the exquisite Frosted Lichen. This collection showcases an arresting array of colours to cater to diverse tastes.
Embracing Elegance
William Brackfield, the creative force behind this timepiece, highlights its ‘agenda’ allure, embodying a harmonious convergence of evolving watch trends. “Small is big,” quips Brackfield, emphasising the timepiece’s role in the paradigm shift of watch sizes.
Retaining the textured 3D dial synonymous with its 40mm precursor, The Twelve 36mm strategically omits the date window. Thus achieving a clean and uncluttered look. CEO and co-founder Mike France explains this design choice: “On a smaller dial like this, we prefer the clean, simple look. It’s encouraged us to change the dial furniture, so the hour markers are proportionately slimmer and perhaps even more elegant than on the larger version.”
Meticulous Craftsmanship
As a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship, The Twelve 36mm features a highly-finished, single-link, integrated bracelet with a seamless hidden butterfly clasp. Thus ensuring unparalleled comfort and sophistication. Embracing versatility, this timepiece is also available with four lightweight rubber straps, perfect for the balmy days of summer.
Swapping between the bracelet and rubber straps is a joyous experience facilitated by Christopher Ward’s quick-release system. Akin to owning two distinct watches. With The Twelve 36mm, Christopher Ward unveils a treasure trove of choices, merging form and function in a striking testament to their commitment to horological excellence.
Another Triumph
Again Christopher Ward hits it out of the park with this line up. The Twelve now will have the appeal for both men & women with smaller wrists due to its a more unisex dimensions. The 40mm version is such a success and I have no doubt this will equally do as well. There really isn’t much to be negative about with Christopher Ward, as they always seem to get it right. The design and look of these are so sweet, the colours, right on trend and the price, well, value for money, it’s bang on!
I’ve just taken delivery of a C63, its the first time I’ve got my hands on a Christopher Ward watch. I’ll be honest, I’m really blown away. Their range seems to have something to suit everyone. The build quality has surprised many, as for the price, you get a lot for your money. If they keep doing what they do so well, Christopher Ward will be around for a long time and be a very successful brand. Many of their competitors should sit up and see what they are up to, cutting out the middle man and keeping prices keen. Especially in these more difficult times, seems to be working very well for them.
