Nomos Glasshütte Joins The Revolution
Introducing the Tangente Neomatik 41 Update – Revolution. The most recent distinctive creation to a result of a collaborative endeavour with the global watch publication, Revolution. This timepiece pays homage to the Fibonacci sequence. A representation of natural growth, the Fibonacci sequence perpetually echoes harmony and tenacity. Intriguingly, these very Fibonacci numbers now grace the midnight blue dial. Yet revealing their presence demands a discerning gaze: they remain concealed within the details of the markers.
Celebrating The Fibonacci Sequence
Presenting an exceptional timepiece. This creation exalts flawlessness and the allure of distinctive numerals.
Rooted in the Fibonacci sequence, a nature’s quirk now finds immortality within an unparalleled wristwatch. This is a collaborative marvel between NOMOS Glashütte and global timepiece publication, Revolution. This narrative defines the essence of the exclusive and limited Tangente Neomatik 41 Update – Revolution.
The inaugural ten elements of the series find reflection within the minute markers of the fresh midnight blue Tangente. (1 and 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55). What captures intrigue is that each digit stands as the sum of its two precursors. Bearing the name of the 13th-century mathematician who unearthed them, Fibonacci numbers delineate a sort of organic progression. The spiralled arrangement of pine cone scales, seeds beneath sunflower petals, or the concentric growth rings on a snail’s shell. Notably absent are counts of 7, 17, or 23; instead, a consistent recurrence of 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, and so forth prevails.
Harmonious & Perfectly Proportioned
To this day, the precise rationale eludes us, yet an air of harmony and impeccable proportionality seems woven into this numerical sequence; entities that adopt such growth patterns exhibit enhanced robustness and tenacity. These very traits are embodied by the novel Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Revolution. Possessing harmony and flawless balance, the timepiece’s enduring dial showcases not only the Fibonacci series but also the hour, minute, second, and date, conveyed through the exquisite and patented NOMOS ring date mechanism.
The watch boasts an extensive heritage, having graced the horological landscape for over three decades. Tangente, a timeless icon, has stood as the quintessential embodiment of “Made in Germany” craftsmanship. Transitioning into the Tangente Update model in 2018, this evolution harnessed the neomatik date mechanism, enabling bidirectional date adjustments and displaying it elegantly through the encompassing NOMOS ring date. Sporting the exclusive DUW 6101 caliber, this NOMOS automatic timepiece has garnered triple patents for its intricate engineering and boasts an accolade-worthy design.
Limited to Only 55 Pieces Worldwide
Expanding beyond its traditional white presentation, the watch now emerges in an all-new, exclusive iteration for Revolution, adorned with a midnight blue dial and a subdued grey textile strap. Dubbed Tangente neomatik 41 Update – Revolution, this creation is a limited edition, with only 55 units available worldwide. Notably, 55 signifies the highest Fibonacci number showcased on the watch’s dial, further enhancing its allure.
This is yet another spectacular addition from Nomos. Without doubt, this will fly out, as numbers are so limited. I love the idea of the Fibonacci numbers, as watches should be conversation starters, full of intrigue. The date ring also is just so striking, with the two Royal Blue markers sitting either side of the date. Its such a simple and effective solution to the conventional date window as we know it. The silver grey sub dial, just draws your eye and shimmers, looking like ripples in a pond, as the blue second hand sweeps past, it really has a mesmerising look.
Yes it has a Midnight Blue dial, so of course I like it, as anything blue just does it for me. The subtle combination of greys and blues just works! This collaboration with Revolution magazine, is yet another success, so keep up this winning streak Nomos!!
