This timepiece, crafted with both elegance and functionality, stands poised to become a top choice for those who value exceptional craftsmanship.
Escudo Watches draws inspiration from the unwavering courage and visionary spirit of early Portuguese and British explorers. Their extraordinary efforts played a crucial role in humanity’s enduring pursuit of knowledge.

The Deep Azul model stands out with its captivating matte black dial, accentuated by a striking deep blue bezel. This bold colour pairing gives the watch a modern, sophisticated edge, ensuring it makes a memorable statement.
There is a lot to like about the Ocean Seacrest Deep Azul, but the dial’s layout has been extremely well-considered. The almost compass-like layout with applied arrow-style hour markers at 12. 3. 6 & 9 o’clock give the watch a definite nautical vibe. The unidirectional aluminium bezel, in a vibrant Azul blue, really pops, and the minute markers every 10 minutes are numbered, which is a nice touch.
The matte black dial contrasts well against the crisp white BGw9 Super LumiNova applied hour markers and hands. The logo appears below the 12 o’clock and Ocean Seacrest and the depth rating of 200m-660ft sits above the 6, giving a real balance to the dial. You cannot ignore the attention to detail from Escudo, as they are clearly proud of their Portuguese heritage, with the Portuguese colours featuring at a prime position at 12 o’clock on the bezel.

My Thoughts
Escudo appears to have nailed the formula with the Ocean Seacrest Deep Azul. The new colour combination is impressive, and I’m eager to get my hands on one for a full review. With a 39mm stainless steel case and powered by the Swiss-made Escudo Calibre 1488, this timepiece is competitively priced at £1650.00, making it an attractive option, especially with its 4-year warranty.
Watch this space, as this won’t be the last time we mention Escudo here at Watch Brothers.
