The Nomos Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sand & Sky embraces a design that celebrates the allure of the high seas. Its 38.5mm stainless steel case features a seamless blend of brushed and polished surfaces, exuding both strength and sophistication. The “Sand”beige dial is akin to the sunlit shores. Whilst the “Sky” blue invokes a summer blue feeling.

The Perfect Summertime Companion
Are these the perfect summer watches? With hues of both the sandy beach and the clear blue skies, they really fit the bill. Wether on the beach or in the office, you’ll get head’s turning. Up close they both look so good. The “Sand” dial almost has a golden glow to it. You can see the grainy texture glinting in the light and the concentric rings on the sub dial are like a lake after you’ve thrown a pebble in. The orange second hand really pops too, overall the colours really work.
Now to my favourite, the “Sky” dial. So crisp, almost lilac in colour, has a really smooth matt finish. The date window is slightly larger than most, which allows the date to show through without any clutter. It so easy to read, as the date window backing is the same colour as the dial, so it effortlessly blends in. The date is very simple to alter, as it can be set forward and backwards and also has a larger Again the orange second hand seems the perfect contract against the blue dial.
At only 9.9mm thin and 38.5mm diameter, combined with the slope of the lugs, this will hug the wrist perfectly. The crown guard hugs the signed crown, keeping it safe against any knocks and if you accidentally leave it unscrewed, there is band of red on the thread, highlighting the fact it needs screwing in. With a 200m depth rating, it’s not really a diver, as it doesn’t have the rotating bezel. But as an every day, it will do anything watch, it does it so well, especially as the colour combination work perfectly. If you think the dials look great, don’t forget the back, as it’s equally attractive. With a sapphire crystal display case back, it really shows off this great looking movement.
By now, you know I have a thing for blue dials and this one is working its way up my list of next purchases. There are now 3 dial sizes ranging from 36mm to 38mm to 40.3mm, so something for everyone.
