Christopher Ward x seconde/seconde
Christopher Ward, the UK’s premier watchmaker, has teamed up with the acclaimed artist and watch designer seconde/seconde, to introduce the C65 Desk Diver Limited Edition. This dive watch is fully equipped for a swim, but it will likely spend more time navigating the depths of office life than exploring the ocean.
The C65 Desk Diver playfully acknowledges the reality of many dive watch owners. Though built for extreme environments, their toughest battles are often fought in boardrooms. This 500-piece limited edition creatively utilises its dial and bezel to symbolise the modern workday’s high-pressure moments. Making it an ideal companion for manoeuvring through daily office interactions.

WARNING! The recommended daily intake of doom-scrolling is exactly zero units. As the Desk Diver’s innovative dopamine toxicity graph cleverly highlights, the more you search for that quick fix, the quicker your faith in humanity plummets. Life’s meant to be lived with the people around you—not wasted mindlessly scrolling through feeds.
The Desk Diver’s dial and bezel come equipped with gentle prompts to remind you to get up, stretch, and take a short stroll. But don’t go too far—there’s some serious napping to be done before the workday ends!
The domed sapphire bezel insert even allocates time for office gossip. Offering a Machiavellian chance to plot your next career move with a dash of mischief. And for the forgetful among us, the dial features a cheeky “Desk Diver” Post-it—a tribute to the irreplaceable fluorescent reminders that keep you on track when all else fails.

Romaric André, aka seconde/seconde/, said: “The irony is, I qualify as a desk diver myself… daydreaming is my first occupation. Watches have the unique ability to transport the wearer from the banal to the exceptional. When you put on a dress watch, boom, surrounded by Art Deco furniture and Carrare Marble, when wearing an Explorer you feel like you are scaling Mt. Everest.
“Reversing this trajectory and taking you back into hard-core-norm-core felt like the obvious next step. At work, you never know what is going to happen next, arguably making it the most unconquered landscape of all. I wanted to remind people to try and find something amazing in the everyday, instead of fantasising about where they could be.
“Christopher Ward put no boundaries on my creativity. I used this opportunity to try and get them out of their comfort zone. Thank you Christopher Ward.”
This Is Not Romaric’s First Rodeo
The new Desk Diver, inspired by the C65 Aquitaine, is crafted from 316L stainless steel and built to withstand the daily grind of office life. Pressure tested to withstand 200m. For those who insist on aquatic analogies, this model boasts a case height of 12.45mm. As well as a lug-to-lug distance of 46.68mm. Powered by the caffeine-induced shakes of its wearer, the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement guarantees accuracy within +/- 20 seconds per day, ensuring you clock in at 9 and clock out just in time at 5 (or maybe a few minutes earlier—we won’t tell).
Launching on 26/09/24, this timepiece can be yours for £995/US $1195/EUR €1295 on a black Tropic rubber strap, or upgrade to the Bader bracelet for £1,160/US $1395/EUR €1510. As a reward for your hard work, each Desk Diver includes a complimentary Delugs yellow rubber strap, perfect for those daring moments of spontaneity (like a long lunch break).
The C65 Seconde/Seconde Desk Diver custom box comes loaded with office essentials: pencils, paper clips, Post-it notes, highlighters, and board pins—everything you need to persuade your colleagues to “assist” with your to-do list while you watch the hours and coffee breaks tick by.
More Than A Hand Modifier
Romaric continues to go from strength to strength, jumping between brands, giving each his touch of Midas. Leaving behind a trail of change, disruption and tongue-in-cheek humour. He is famous for changing just the second hand in his early works, now through analysis of the brands he works with, giving them extraordinary watches through his unique manipulation. The simplicity of the Desk Diver is taken to new depths with the Christopher Ward collaboration.
