Taking a nostalgic trip back to Smokey Bear’s inception in 1944, this timepiece artfully utilises earth tones and textures. The dial features cathedral hands complemented by large, bold gothic numerals. These are reminiscent of the iconic mid-century Smokey Bear signage found throughout the US National Parks.
At the heart of the dial, a custom-illustrated Smokey Bear takes centre stage at the 12 o’clock position. Thus commanding attention with the powerful message “Only You” boldly displayed. This artistic representation pays homage to the enduring legacy of Smokey Bear’s call for individual responsibility in preventing forest fires. Vero make some cracking looking watches. Although this isn’t my bag, I’m sure it will appeal to some. Field watches have always been extremely popular and in this colour combo, they certainly fit the bill. They already have a few great collaborations under their belts and this will surely be another.
